I rescued this handmade wool sweater at a rummage sale this past summer. It’s a strange piece of work. Gene’s mother bought a second one that we assume was made by the same knitter – same size, similar buttons. She observed that after such nice knitting, the knitter used the cheapest buttons and sewed them on unevenly. Definitely weird. Maybe this isn’t 100% wool?

In theory, I like this sweater, but when I bought it I was already wondering whether I’d keep it or unravel it for the pretty blue yarn.

Pluses: Handmade, warm, nice color
Minuses: Too big, a little bit itchy, a little bit ugly, misaligned buttons.

Help me with my decision?
