Last fall, I gave my brother a green wool hat (same wool as this cardigan) after his friends complained he was wearing his black one too much. It soon stretched out and was a bit too short to fit over his ears, so I promised I would fix it if he returned it to me. Finally got it back two weeks ago when he moved back to school and I fished it out of one of his boxes.

The fix took about 20 minutes or less. I did two rows of single crochet around the brim and then one row where I decreased at every third stitch. Two more rows of single crochet on top of this one and I decided it looked good enough. Now he just needs to try it on next time. Although I’ve been wearing it around all afternoon and I kind of want to steal it from him…
