I promised my grandmother I’d wear this to Thanksgiving in 2008*. Finished sewing in ends on the train up to her place the night before. Before that, of course, Gossy thought it was her nest. She spent an afternoon in it before relinquishing the dress to me.

This dress was designed as sleeveless:

but I added sleeves. After all, it’s pretty much always cold up here.

Recently someone on Ravelry messaged me asking for notes on how to make the sleeves. In absence of notes, I sent her this .zip of 5 closeups of the sleeve attachment and the bell sleeve increase. I took closeup images of the work and the files are accessible here, if you’re interested.
